Se si sta usando un server proxy http, si deve prima ancora impostare la
variabile d'ambiente http_proxy; vedere sources.list(5).

Il metodo <code>dselect</code> è in realtà un insieme di script di wrapper
per <code>apt-get</code>. Il metodo di fatto fornisce delle funzionalità
maggiori del solo <code>apt-get</code>.
