  <title>Shells et commandes personnalisés</title>

  <p>Un <em>shell</em> est un logiciel qui fournit une interface pour les utilisateurs d'un système d'exploitation afin d'exécuter des <em>commandes</em>, qui peuvent être des programmes tels que <app>top</app> ou une ligne de commande shell. Le shell par défaut est généralement <app>Bash</app>.</p>

  <p>Vous pouvez régler <app>Terminal</app> pour lancer une commande lors de son démarrage au lieu qu'il attende une entrée de votre part :</p>

      <p>Sélectionnez <guiseq><gui style="menu">Édition</gui> <gui style="menuitem">Préférences du profil</gui> <gui style="tab">Commande</gui></guiseq>.</p>

      <p>Cochez <gui>Exécuter une commande personnalisée au lieu de mon shell</gui>.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>Saisissez la commande ou le shell désiré dans le champ.</p>
      <p>La commande sera passée au terminal exactement comme vous l'écrivez, y compris les arguments que vous spécifiez. Les variables d'environnement seront héritées du terminal car c'est un processus enfant du terminal.</p>

      <p>Ouvrir un nouvel onglet ou une nouvelle fenêtre de <app>Terminal</app> pour voir comment le shell personnalisé ou la commande s'exécute.</p>

  <p>Vous pouvez également <link xref="pref-custom-exit">définir le comportement</link> du terminal une fois que la commande a terminé son exécution.</p>

    <p>Il se peut que vous ayez à saisir le chemin complet vers la commande ou le shell, si le répertoire dans lequel le shell ou la commande réside n'est pas dans la variable <code>PATH</code> de votre système.</p>
