  <title>Verrouillage automatique de l'écran</title>
  
  <p>En cas d'absence, vous devriez <link xref="shell-exit#lock-screen">verrouiller l'écran</link> pour empêcher d'autres personnes d'utiliser votre ordinateur et d'avoir accès à vos fichiers. S'il vous arrive d'oublier de verrouiller l'écran, sachez que vous pouvez régler l'ordinateur pour qu'il le fasse automatiquement après un certain délai. Votre ordinateur sera ainsi en sécurité quand vous ne vous en servez pas.</p>

  <note><p>Quand l'ordinateur est verrouillé, les applications et les processus système en cours continuent d'être exécutés. Vous devrez saisir votre mot de passe pour en reprendre le contrôle.</p></note>
  
  <steps>
    <title>Pour paramétrer un délai plus long avant que l'écran ne se verrouille automatiquement :</title>
    <item>
      <p>Ouvrez la vue d'ensemble des <gui xref="shell-terminology">Activités</gui> et commencez à saisir <gui>Confidentialité</gui>.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>Cliquez sur <gui>Confidentialité</gui> pour ouvrir le panneau.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>Sélectionnez <gui>Verrouiller l'écran</gui>.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>Make sure <gui>Automatic Screen Lock</gui> is switched <gui>ON</gui>,
      then select a length of time from the drop-down list.</p>
    </item>
    <item>
      <p>Pour autoriser l'affichage des notifications sur l'écran verrouillé, basculez l'interrupteur <gui>Afficher si l'écran est verrouillé</gui> sur <gui>Activé</gui>.</p>

      <p>Click the <gui>X</gui> to close.</p>
    </item>

  <p>When your screen is locked, and you want to unlock it, press
  <key>Esc</key>, or swipe up from the bottom of the screen with your mouse.
  Then enter your password, and press <key>Enter</key> or click
  <gui>Unlock</gui>. Alternatively, just start typing your password and the
  lock curtain will be automatically raised as you type.</p>
